| Pr. Dr. Truong Quoc Binh shares his insights at the conference |
According to Dr. Phan Le Chung, the research findings presented at the conference serve as valuable reference materials for teaching, research, and creative practice. They also provide educational institutions with a basis for connecting heritage knowledge with the development demands of the applied fine arts sector.
From a heritage research perspective, Prof. Dr. Truong Quoc Binh, former Deputy Director of the Department of Cultural Heritage and member of the National Council for Cultural Heritage, noted that heritage offers a rich source of materials in terms of forms, lines, colors, materials, patterns, symbols, and artistic techniques. Researching and incorporating these elements into contemporary designs requires an understanding of their historical contexts and cultural characteristics, as well as respect for the authenticity of the heritage.
At the conference, experts, researchers, and managers presented papers and exchanged experiences on promoting heritage values through applied fine arts, approaches to incorporating heritage into contemporary design, and the application of digital technology to develop cultural products. Discussions also focused on strengthening cooperation among research, education, and creative practice.
