| Lifelong Learning Week is launched at Thuy Luong Primary School in Huong Thuy Ward |
The Week runs from October 1st to 7th, with activities held in response to Vietnam Study Promotion Day (October 2nd), National Digital Transformation Day, and local educational and cultural events.
The activities focus on encouraging self-study, reading, research, experiential learning, practical activities, and the application of knowledge in real-life situations. They also provide opportunities for education managers, teachers, staff and learners to access and practise digital skills, make use of open educational resources and online learning platforms, and use artificial intelligence safely and responsibly.
At preschools and general education schools, activities are tailored to different age groups and education levels, with an emphasis on developing self-learning abilities, using digital learning resources, and applying technology to learning. Vocational education and continuing education centers organize training and career guidance activities to improve vocational and digital skills, as well as the ability to adapt to technological change.
Through lifelong learning activities implemented in recent years, learning has become increasingly connected with learners’ practical needs and everyday life, from self-study and reading to improving qualifications and developing vocational and digital skills. This year, greater emphasis is placed on practical skills and the application of technology, particularly the safe and responsible use of artificial intelligence in learning, work and daily life.
The inclusion of digital skills and artificial intelligence in Lifelong Learning Week is aimed not only at raising awareness of technology, but also at developing self-learning habits, the ability to access and select information, and the appropriate use of technology. Through these efforts, lifelong learning is becoming more closely linked with learning to work, learning to adapt, and improving quality of life.
