The event also featured a range of meaningful community activities. Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang attended the ceremony and encouraged the golfers.

The Hue Golf Team participates in this year’s tournament with 24 golfers competing across 4 men’s divisions. These golfers were selected based on their impressive performances and top achievements in recent competitions.
The official round will take place over two days, September 5 and 6 at the FLC Golf Links Sam Son (Thanh Hoa). It brings together men’s and women’s teams from 10 Golf Associations across the Central and Central Highlands regions, including Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Hue, Danang, Quang Ngai, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, and Lam Dong.
The championship will feature a combination of Fourball team match play and Singles Match Play. The demanding format requires players to work closely together, make strategic calculations, and demonstrate composure under pressure.
According to experts, the merger of several localities can lead to fewer teams taking part in this year’s championship than in previous years. Nevertheless, the overall competitive level and the quality of the participating players are expected to be higher, making for drastic competition. This presents both a challenge and a source of motivation for the Hue Golf team as it strives for the best possible results.
On this occasion, the Hue Golf Association successfully mobilized VND 460 million from the support of the Lang Co - World’s Beautiful Bay Golf Championship and another golf event held by the Huong Giang Golf Club. This fund was used to construct two charitable houses (costing VND 100 million per house) and provided 140 scholarships valued at VND 1 million each to vulnerable families in Chan May - Lang Co Commune. Furthermore, 24 scholarships worth VND 5 million per scholarship were presented to underprivileged students overcoming hardships.
Previously, at the 2024 send-off ceremony, the Hue Golf Association raised VND 210 million to build three charity houses for disadvantaged households in Hue.
Established in 2019 with 70 members, the Hue Golf Association now has over 300 golfers who regularly take part in its activities. Alongside maintaining and expanding the local golfing movement, Hue golfers have competed in numerous championships nationwide and achieved notable results.
“During the 2024-2029 term, the Hue Golf Association will focus on renewing its approach and activities, working with partners to organize championships at the regional and national levels, and promoting the development of young golfers. The association will also strengthen cooperation with the Vietnam Golf Association, golf courses across Central Vietnam, and sponsors to foster the comprehensive growth of golf in Hue,” said Mr. Cai Vinh Tuan, Standing Vice Chairman of the Hue Golf Association.
