A successful surgery

During the trials, the Faculty of Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine team was responsible for anesthesia, endotracheal intubation, and maintaining a stable state of deep anesthesia in the pigs for 6 - 8 consecutive hours. Careful pre-surgical preparation and vital-sign monitoring created optimal conditions for the surgeons to successfully perform a number of complex minimally invasive techniques using the robotic system.

After two intensive days of work, the trial surgeries all achieved highly promising initial results. The animal-model procedures on pigs are regarded as a critical clinical stepping stone for verifying the accuracy, safety, and stable operation of the surgical robotic system before it is officially accepted, commissioned, and put into practical use in human medical treatment.

The success of this round of trials not only affirms the professional capacity and effective interdisciplinary coordination between the two leading institutions in Hue, but also opens up broad prospects for cooperation in biomedical research and the application of advanced technology to modern medicine.
