Also attending the meeting were Mr. Ha Van Tuan, Member of Hue City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, along with representatives of relevant municipal departments and agencies.

In his speech at the meeting, Party Secretary Nguyen Dinh Trung welcomed Ambassador He Wei and his delegation, emphasized that the visit was significant in strengthening the friendship and expanding cooperation between Hue City and localities in China across a wide range of sectors.

He provided an overview of Hue's socio-economic development since the city became a centrally governed municipality, highlighting its outstanding strengths in cultural heritage, education, healthcare, science and technology, and tourism, as well as its strategic development orientation for the years ahead.

The Party Secretary reaffirmed that Hue City attaches great importance to expanding international cooperation, including partnerships with Chinese localities and organizations, based on the principles of friendship, equality, mutual benefit, and in line with the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and China.

He also expressed his hope that the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam would continue to facilitate connections for Chinese localities, businesses, and investors to explore cooperation opportunities in Hue. He called for enhanced trade and investment promotion, expanded cooperation in infrastructure, logistics, high technology, green industry, digital transformation, and sustainable tourism, as well as promoting exchanges in culture, education, and tourism. These efforts, he noted, would further deepen the friendship between the peoples of the two countries and strengthen cooperation between Hue City and Chinese localities.

Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, Ambassador He Wei praised Hue's rich cultural and historical heritage, as well as the city's impressive socio-economic achievements in recent years.

Ambassador He Wei confirmed that he would continue serving as a bridge to promote cooperation between Hue City and Chinese localities, enterprises, and partners, particularly in areas with strong development potential and opportunities for deeper collaboration.

He expressed confidence that cooperation between Hue City and Chinese localities would continue to expand, become more substantive, and deliver practical outcomes, thereby contributing to the continued development of the Vietnam - China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership.
