According to Vice Chairman Tran Huu Thuy Giang, the city and the tourism sector have implemented a range of tourism stimulus measures in recent years to promote tourism, and have achieved positive results. Visitor numbers have grown steadily, thanks to well-planned and effective policies adopted by the local government, including extensive promotional campaigns across domestic and international media. With numerous festivals, events, and tourism activities scheduled in the months ahead, the continued cooperation of Hue Tourism Association, travel agencies, and hotels will play a vital role.
The Vice Chairman called on Hue Tourism Association, travel agencies, and hotels to work closely with the Department of Tourism in implementing several key initiatives. These include developing new tourism products and enhancing the promotion of local tourism offerings, preparing products and services for a high-end international farmtrip program, and collaborating with the Department of Tourism to create attractive travel packages that will help support the operation of direct flights between South Korea and Phu Bai International Airport.
According to the city leaders, Hue Heritage and International Music Festival 2026 - Hue Wonderverse Music Fest 2026 will take place from August 30th to September 1st, while visitor numbers are also expected to surge during the National Day holiday on September 2nd. The Department of Tourism, Hue Tourism Association, and tourism businesses were therefore urged to closely monitor visitor demand, ensure sufficient accommodation capacity, and effectively manage community-based lodging facilities.

The city will place greater emphasis on inspecting and monitoring accommodation registration and tax declarations, while adopting stricter measures to prevent tax revenue losses in the tourism and service sectors. Hue Tourism Association, travel agencies, and hotels were urged to strengthen public awareness efforts and strictly comply with these requirements. At the same time, the city will continue taking measures to maintain the tourism environment.
City leaders also called on Hue Tourism Association, travel agencies, and hotels to prepare for an upcoming meeting and the signing of a cooperation agreement with Quang Tri Province and Vietnam Railways Corporation regarding Hue - Quang Tri tourist train, as well as the tourism services and activities that will accompany the launch of the route.
At the meeting, representatives of Hue Tourism Association and local tourism businesses exchanged views on measures to strengthen coordination, accelerate tourism development, and maintain a safe, friendly, and attractive tourism environment.
