In Binh Dien Commune, the delegation visited and encouraged Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nu, 83 years old, a sick soldier, in Tan Quang Village. In Huong Tra Ward, the delegation visited Heroic Vietnamese Mother Ngo Thi Thien in Van Xa 4 Residential Group. The delegation also visited Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, 77 years old, in Dong Xuan Residential Group, Kim Tra Ward.
Mr. Do Minh Long expressed deep gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of war invalids, sick soldiers, families of fallen soldiers, and people with meritorious service. He affirmed that the city remains committed to implementing preferential policies and benefits fully and promptly, and expressed hope that authorities at all levels, sectors and localities would continue to improve the material and spiritual well-being of people with meritorious service and policy beneficiary families, helping to spread the moral traditions of ‘drinking water, remembering its source’, and ‘repaying the debt of gratitude’.
On the same afternoon, the People’s Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thuan An Ward, in coordination with socio-political organizations, the Ward Health Station, and Hue City Lung Hospital, organized a health check-up, consultation and gift-giving program to honor policy beneficiary families on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day.

At the event, the organizing committee presented 48 gifts to war invalids, sick soldiers, and families of fallen soldiers. The medical staff conducted health check-ups, basic health indicator screenings, and provided health care consultations, medication guidance, and disease prevention advice for the policy beneficiaries.
