| Providing oral health examinations and guidance for children |
The program brings together 17 dentists, 12 nurses from Hue Odonto-Stomatology Hospital, 10 international volunteers from the Hong Lien Foundation, and 24 support staff. According to the plan, from July 13th to 23rd, the medical team will provide dental examinations, consultations, treatment, and oral health education for approximately 400 pupils and the elderly at health stations in five communes across the A Luoi area.
In addition to providing treatment, the dentists also educate residents on proper oral hygiene practices and demonstrate correct tooth-care techniques to help prevent common dental conditions such as tooth decay, gingivitis, and periodontal disease. The program is expected to improve public awareness of oral health and encourage better long-term dental care habits.
On this occasion, the Hong Lien Foundation also donated 24 breeding goats to 12 disadvantaged households in A Luoi 1 Commune, helping families develop sustainable livelihoods and gradually improve their living standards.
