The event is scheduled to take place on September 19th and 20th in the Ru Cha Mangrove Forest area of Hoa Chau Ward.
According to the plan, the race will feature four distances of 5km, 10km, 21km, and 42km, and is expected to attract around 2.000 domestic and international runners. All events will be conducted on an individual basis, and participants must meet the health, age, and other requirements stipulated in the competition regulations.
The course has been designed as a mixed-terrain route, combining urban roads, trail sections, mangrove forest landscapes, rural farmlands, and heritage sites. All race distances will start and finish at the Ru Cha Mangrove Forest.
In the 42km race, participants will run across a route that includes Tam Giang Bridge, the Thuan An Sea-Crossing Bridge area, Tam Giang Lagoon, local roads, rice-field embankment paths, the Bo River, the Hoa Chau Citadel Exhibition House, Kim Doi Bridge, the area beneath Thanh Phuoc Bridge, and the Perfume River before returning to the finish line at Ru Cha. The shorter distances have likewise been designed to showcase the lagoon landscape, rural villages, and the area's distinctive ecological environment.
According to the People's Committee of Hoa Chau Ward, the race aims to promote the movement of “All People Exercising Following the Example of President Ho Chi Minh”, provide a healthy recreational activity, and contribute to the development of the local running community. At the same time, the event is intended to promote the image of Hoa Chau and its people, capitalize on the natural advantages of the lagoon region, and support the preservation and promotion of local historical and cultural values. It is also expected to gradually develop ecotourism and community-based tourism.
To prepare for the event, Hoa Chau Ward has developed plans to ensure public security, traffic safety, medical services, environmental sanitation, food safety, and other support conditions for the participants. The race will be organized through mobilized social resources, with a focus on practicality, safety, and effectiveness.
