The exhibition is on the second floor of Kien Trung Palace

The exhibition is the result of the 5th Fine Arts and Heritage Creative Camp, which brought together 45 artists who present 45 works created in a variety of media, including acrylic, silk, copper, mixed media, lacquer, and oil painting. Through their artworks, the artists offer fresh perspectives on Hue's heritage, from the beauty of royal architecture and cultural landscapes to the spiritual values preserved across generations.

According to Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Hai Trung, Deputy Director of Hue Monuments Conservation Centre, Hue's cultural heritage not only embodies outstanding historical, cultural, and artistic values but also serves as an inexhaustible source of inspiration for contemporary art forms.

“With the theme of ‘Heritage Doors’, the exhibition not only refers  to the physical doors found within heritage structures but also evokes the invisible doors of memory, creativity, and artistic perception. From the image of real doors, the artists have opened new creative spaces, approaching heritage through their own perspectives and artistic languages. Each artwork tells a different story about heritage through imagery, composition, color, and the artist's emotions. Through these works, the public can also open their own ‘heritage door’ to explore and experience cultural values in a personal way,” Hai Trung said.

Over the past five years, the Fine Arts and Heritage Creative Camp has become an open artistic space, enabling artists to engage directly with heritage through firsthand experiences. These encounters have nurtured creative inspiration and led to the creation of works bearing each artist's distinctive imprint.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also presented awards to nine outstanding works from the 5th Fine Arts and Heritage Creative Camp, recognizing the artists’ exceptional creativity and contributions to connecting art with Hue's heritage.
