During the meeting with the Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary, Bui Le Thai, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Hungary, also accredited to Croatia and Montenegro, together with Embassy officials, welcomed and held discussions with the delegation.

Sharing updates on the city’s socio-economic development, Chairman Nguyen Khac Toan said that Hue is focusing on achieving rapid and sustainable growth, advancing administrative reforms, improving the investment environment, and expanding international cooperation across multiple sectors. The city hopes to continue receiving support from the embassy in connecting with partners, promoting investment, and developing cooperation in science and technology, education and training, and, at the same time, strengthening tourism promotion, cultural exchange, and mobilizing intellectual resources from the Vietnamese community in Hungary.

Ambassador Bui Le Thai highly appreciated the delegation’s visit and noted that the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Hungary continues to develop positively, creating favorable conditions for local governments, businesses, universities, and organizations from both countries to strengthen practical cooperation.

According to the ambassador, many of Hungary’s strengths align with Hue’s development priorities, including education and training, healthcare, tourism, environmental technology, water resource management, high-tech agriculture, and sustainable urban development. He also proposed that Hue explore establishing a partnership with a Hungarian locality sharing similar characteristics to promote cultural exchange, develop heritage-based tourism products, and increase tourist exchanges.
