A team presenting its project

To prepare for the semifinals, Hue University's member institutions and affiliated units (including member universities, affiliated faculties, branch campuses, research institutes, centers, and functional departments) proactively launched the competition, received submissions, and conducted rigorous selection processes at the institutional level from the competition's launch through May 30th, 2026. This thorough screening process ensured that all projects nominated to the university level possessed strong scientific merit and outstanding practical applicability.

This year's semifinals bring together 20 outstanding teams selected from the institutional level, representing the innovative spirit of faculty and staff members, employees, pupils, and students across Hue University. The teams compete in two categories with distinct focuses.

Category A (Commercialization-Ready Solutions) focuses on specific products and technologies that already have prototypes, demonstrate strong market potential, and are ready for technology transfer or market launch to generate revenue.

Category B (Impact and Transformation Solutions) is designed for models, processes, policies, or management initiatives aimed at optimizing resources, enhancing the quality of education and scientific research, and creating positive impacts on communities and society.

At the semifinals, teams deliver live pitching presentations before a judging panel comprising innovation experts, scientists, administrators, business representatives, and representatives of reputable investment funds.

As part of the semifinal round, the Organizing Committee is also implementing support programs, including specialized mentoring, workshops, media promotion, and networking activities to facilitate commercialization and investment opportunities for promising solutions.

The semifinal results are expected to be announced on June 13th, 2026 to select the most outstanding teams to advance to the final round.
