| Dr. Hoang Thi Thao talking with visually impaired participants on job-search skills |
The program aimed to equip participants with practical skills to enhance their employment prospects, help them integrate into the workforce, and enhance their skills.
During the training session, participants were guided on how to prepare complete, well-organized job application documents tailored to specific positions. They also learned how to present personal information, educational backgrounds, and work experience clearly and effectively. In addition, the program introduced both paper-based and electronic methods for submitting job applications.
According to Dr. Hoang Thi Thao, the trainer leading the session, visually impaired individuals may face certain challenges in accessing information, handling document formats, or traveling independently. However, these obstacles do not equate to a lack of capability or reduced work performance. Therefore, a well-prepared and focused application package can help visually impaired candidates clearly demonstrate their skills, experience, support needs, and proactive attitude toward work.
Alongside the job application component, participants also took part in practical exercises on teamwork, communication, and collaboration in group settings. These activities were designed to strengthen their confidence and adaptability when engaging in social, educational, and professional environments.
