Speaking at the opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy, Rector of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, emphasized the important role of career orientation for students prior to graduation. He also affirmed that the university always accompanies learners by providing labor market information, guiding professional development, and supporting the enhancement of career competitiveness in the context of ongoing changes in the healthcare sector.

At the program, Prof. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy also shared information related to legal regulations in the field of health sciences, particularly the licensing examination for medical practice. At the same time, he outlined postgraduate training pathways, including residency programs, Level I and Level II specialist programs, as well as master’s and doctoral degrees. These efforts contribute to improving the quality of the healthcare workforce to meet the requirements of public health care and protection in the new period.

Within the framework of the program, Dr. Ngo Viet Loc, Deputy Executive Director of the Institute for Training and Capacity Building of Health Management Staff and Head of the Quality Management Department of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Hue University, provided an overview of the current situation and demand for healthcare human resources across different levels and in both public and private sectors. He also guided students on how to access recruitment information and choose positions suitable to their professional capacity and long-term career orientation.

In addition, Dr. Nguyen Van Hung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, shared practical content such as skills for preparing job application documents, approaching employers, and interview skills. These are important factors that help students improve their adaptability to the labor market after graduation.

The program also provided information on postgraduate training orientations, new policies related to training and licensing in the healthcare sector, and introduced existing postgraduate programs at the university.
