People in A Luoi eagerly join the “National Election Day”

From the early hours of the morning on March 15th, residents across the highland villages of A Luoi District eagerly headed to polling stations to take part in the “The Festival for All People” - the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term.

From the break of dawn, residents temporarily set aside their field and farm work to exercise their voting rights.

Mr. Ho Van Ton, a resident of Ar Ba Nham village, said that because many people in mountainous areas work on farms, they often come to vote early in the morning. Over the years, households originally from Laos who settled in the former Quang Nham Commune were supported by local authorities in obtaining citizenship, production land and access to loans for livelihood development. As a result, they are very pleased to become citizens of the commune. This time, they are proud to participate in choosing representatives who will speak for their aspirations. Local residents hope that those elected will be capable and dedicated representatives who care about the lives of ethnic minority communities and help promote socio-economic development in mountainous areas.
