Presenting Tet gifts to residents with difficult circumstances in the area of Chan May - Lang Co

The activity is part of the “Humanitarian Tet” movement launched by Vietnam Red Cross Society, which has been implemented nationwide to mobilize community support in caring for Tet holiday of the poor, disadvantaged, and vulnerable groups, in the spirit of “No one is left behind”. Beyond providing material assistance, the program embodies profound humanitarian values, helping to share difficulties of and bring joy to residents during Tet holiday.

In the framework of the program, the organizing committee presented 300 gift packages, each valued at 800,00 VND, with a total worth of 240 million VND, to poor and near-poor households, as well as people with disabilities, elderly individuals living alone, families facing special hardships, and those suffering the impacts of natural disasters in Chan May - Lang Co Commune.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Le Thi Hien, Chairwoman of the City Red Cross Society, emphasized the importance of mobilizing social resources. Furthermore, she also affirmed that the efforts of authorities at all levels, sectors, and businesses would help the city’s humanitarian movement continue to grow, becoming a solid support for vulnerable residents in the early days of the Lunar New Year.

In addition to the gift-giving activities, Tet Market featured a variety of humanitarian booths and festive experiences, including free haircuts, calligraphy giveaways, and traditional Tet cultural activities, helping to create a joyful and warm atmosphere, strengthen community bonds, and widely spread the spirit of compassion.
