An extracurricular lesson enhancing interaction between teachers and students in Thuy Xuan Ward

The theme for the 55th UPU International Letter-Writing Competition in 2026 is: “Write a letter to a friend about why human connection matters in a digital world”. This activity aims to implement the Official Dispatch No. 8015/BKHCN-HTQT, issued on December 26, 2025, by the Ministry of Science and Technology regarding the implementation of the Competition for Vietnamese students aged 9 to 15.

The International Letter-Writing Competition for Children, organized annually by the Universal Postal Union (UPU), aims to help develop students’ writing skills and enrich their creative thinking, enable them to approach and raise awareness of social and contemporary issues; and express their thoughts on these matters. The Competition also seeks to foster and nurture the younger generation’s feelings of attachment and responsibility toward the society, the nation, and the world, while helping them better understand the role of the postal sector in daily life and social development.

The Competition calls for the participation of all students aged 9 to 15 (at the time of submission) from primary, secondary, and high schools, and the specialized high school of Hue University of Sciences, in the city. Entries will be accepted from December 19, 2025, to March 5, 2026 (based on the postmark).
