This year, the national Geography team won 5 prizes, including 1 First prize

This year, Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted had 108 students competing in subjects including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Informatics, Biology, Literature, History, Geography, English, French, and Japanese. As a result, 90 students won prizes, comprising 4 First prizes (1 in Informatics, 1 in Geography, and 2 in French), 20 Second prizes, 34 Third prizes, and 32 Consolation prizes.

Additionally, Hue University of Sciences (HUSC) High School for Gifted Students had 37 students participating in the Exam, with 4 students winning Consolation prizes in Literature.

The National High School Excellent Student Selection Exam for the academic year 2025 - 2026 took place on December 25 and 26, 2025, featuring over 6,750 candidates from localities nationwide, an increase of 270 candidates compared to the previous academic year 2024 - 2025. This annual event aims to encourage both teachers and students to enhance their creative capacities, and pursue excellence in teaching and learning.

Candidates will be summoned to participate in the 2026 Olympic Team Selection Exam (due to be held in March 2026) if they achieve the following score thresholds: Mathematics: 26.0 points or higher; Physics: 23.25 points or higher; Chemistry: 26.375 points or higher; Biology: 25.00 points or higher; and Informatics (IT): 24.790 points or higher.
