On the night of December 31st, large crowds poured into the streets and made their way to Hue City Cultural and Sports Square to attend the art show welcoming the New Year 2026, filled with excitement, joy, and hope.
Compared to previous years, the weather on the farewell night of the old year and the welcome of the new year was extremely ideal, with clear skies and a slight chill. From early evening, all roads leading to the city center, especially the area around Hue City Cultural and Sports Square, were bustling with activity.
At this location, a grand stage was designed and set up with vibrant sound and lighting effects. This year’s art show was organized by Hue Festival Organizing Committee and Hue City People’s Committee in coordination with Carlsberg Vietnam Beer Co., Ltd.
At exactly 9:00 p.m., the program officially began with the presence of the Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Khac Toan; Standing Member of the City Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh; along with leaders of the City Party Committee, the City People’s Committee, departments and agencies, representatives of the sponsoring units, and a large number of residents and visitors.

With the theme “A Joyful Tet - Celebrating Connection”, this year’s program brought together a lineup of well-known artists such as Dong Nhi, Khac Viet, Will, 7dnight, DJ Huy DX, MC Hoang Phi, and artist Xuan Dinh K.Y, - a native of Hue.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, a resident of Huong Tra Ward, who came early to Hue City Cultural and Sports Square with friends to attend the New Year 2026 art show, expressed his excitement at the event’s grand scale, from the space to the organization. “The show is extremely lively, and we, people of Hue, are also very enthusiastic. Everything feels very youthful and dynamic,” said Mr. Hung.
In addition to the art show, the moment most eagerly anticipated by many was the countdown to welcome the New Year 2026. Hugs, handshakes, and New Year wishes brought a fiery musical night to a close, opening up a new year for Hue filled with many expectations and new opportunities.
