In Japanese, “OMOCHA” means toys, yet the concept extends far beyond ordinary playthings. Across generations, Japanese toys have reflected how people connect with emotion, imagination, and technology. From handcrafted dolls of the Edo period to transforming toys, iconic popular characters, and cutting-edge electronic products; each artifact tells a story of Japanese society and aesthetics.
The exhibition is divided into 7 themed sections, featuring transforming toys, character toys, ultra-detailed collectibles, kawaii culture, vehicle toys, traditional toys, and electronic toys. This layout allows visitors to easily engage with each facet of toy culture while recognizing the interplay between craftsmanship and technological thinking.
The exhibition opens free of charge for the public from December 23, 2025 to January 11, 2026.
