| Repair work is being carried out on several pipeline sections crossing rivers and bridges in the former Huong Tho area |
On November 3, HueWACO issued a notice to its customers regarding safe water supply during the flood period. Accordingly, despite the impact of the heavy rain and flooding, all HueWACO water treatment plants are currently operating normally, and the main pipeline systems remain essentially safe.
In recent days, the plants have been supplying between 220,000 and 250,000 cubic meters to the water network, about 20% higher than on normal days, ensuring a safe water supply for all wards and communes of Hue City, except for Thuong Long - Nam Dong (former) area. Due to the high risk of landslides in K Long Village, Long Quang Commune, operations at the Thuong Long Water Plant (2,000 m³/day-night capacity) have been temporarily suspended and relocated.
Amid the complex developments of the flooding, several pipeline sections (crossing rivers and bridges) have been affected. HueWACO has mobilized standby and mobile teams to promptly handle incidents across the water network, ensuring water supply is restored to affected areas as quickly as possible.
Since November 3, Hue City People’s Committee has directed HueWACO to urgently access and repair the D160 pipeline crossing the Huong River in the former Huong Tho area. Accordingly, a temporary 500-meter-long D90 HDPE pipeline was installed along Tuan Bridge and completed to restore the stable water supply to more than 2,500 customers in the Huong Tho area and several surrounding locations.

Amid the current flooding situation, HueWACO has activated its safe water supply plan, mobilizing hundreds of staff members to monitor rainfall and flood levels to respond to any situation proactively.
