Taking place from October 24th to 25th, the tournament gathers nearly 250 athletes. The Karate event features over 100 athletes from 11 wards, communes, and units: Phu Bai, Phu Loc, Phu Xuan, Phong Thai, Vy Da, Huong An, Phong Dien, Kim Tra, Huong Tra, Binh Dien, and Hue University.

The Taekwondo event has more than 140 athletes from 15 wards, communes, and units: My Thuong, Phu Bai, Duong No, Hoa Chau, Huong Tra, Phong Dien, Phong Quang, Phu Xuan, Thanh Thuy, Thuan Hoa, Vy Da, Binh Dien, Quang Dien, and Hue University.

According to Mr. Bui Thanh Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, the competition aims to evaluate athlete training efforts across localities, thereby identifying and investing in promising athletes for the city’s representative team that will compete at the National Sports Festival in Ho Chi Minh City in October 2026.

Taking place from September 2025 to May 2026, the 10th Hue City Sports Festival features 18 sports, including: chess, football, karate, taekwondo, athletics, swimming, badminton, cross-country running, table tennis, volleyball, traditional wrestling, crossbow shooting, boat racing, Chinese chess, vovinam, shuttlecock kicking, billiards, and pétanque.
