The choral concert “Qua cau gio bay” held on the evening of October 11 at Hue Academy of Music was a collaboration between the academy’s choir and the Lichtenberg Choir from Berlin, Germany. The event attracted a large audience of art enthusiasts.
The event was held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Germany and Vietnam.
The audience enjoyed a high-quality night of music featuring performances by the 2 choirs. Familiar Vietnamese melodies such as trong com, Beo dat may troi, Qua cau gio bay, and Ngua o thuong nho, together with Western classical vocal works by Mozart, Mendelssohn, Reger, and other composers, … were beautifully performed by the artists throughout the evening.
According to the organizers, this event offered people from 2 different cultures an opportunity to get to know each other better and share a meaningful, collaborative experience. In doing so, it helped further strengthen the relationship and mutual understanding between the 2 nations.
