The University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University receiving congratulatory flowers from the leadership of Hue University

Currently, the University of Agriculture and Forestry training scale of 4.000 students, post-graduates, and researchers across 20 training curricula, including 11 master’s programs and 9 doctoral programs. The university has 7 specialized faculties with a teaching staff of over 224, over 50% of whom hold doctoral degrees. Over 59 years of development, the university has successfully trained 37,000 engineers, 3,200 master’s graduates, and 120 doctoral graduates, demonstrating its commitment to training quality and affirming the pioneering role of the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University in developing high-quality human resources in the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sectors.

In the 2025-2026 academic year, the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University, welcomes nearly 1,200 freshmen in the 59th cohort. This cohort will follow the updated 2025 curriculum, with content and teaching methods aligned with the 2018 general education program, focusing on comprehensive competency development and practical relevance to production and social needs. The program emphasizes collaboration with businesses in training to enhance students’ practical skills.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Duc, Rector of the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University, stated that this academic year, the university will focus on 6 main tasks, including: enhancing the quality of training, considering training quality as the decisive factor for the university’s development; promoting scientific research and technology transfer activities; developing resources to support training and research; organizing practical activities to create a joyful, united, and cooperative atmosphere throughout the university, etc.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Duc expressed his hope that the freshers of the 59th cohort will be passionate about the careers they have chosen, and make effort to carefully plan for themselves to achieve high results in both their studies and personal development.

On this occasion, the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University mobilized nearly 600 million VND in funding to award scholarships to over 200 students, including the university’s top graduates, top students in each major, and students from disadvantaged backgrounds, as well as over 500 gifts to the freshmen at the start of the academic year.
