Attending the conference were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuong Duy Kien, Director of the Institute of Human Rights; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Trung, Deputy Director of the Institute of Human Rights; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Phuong, Vice Rector of the University of Law, Hue University, along with more than 50 domestic delegates, including scholars, lecturers, and experts in law, politics, and human rights.
12 papers were presented at the conference, focusing on various themes such as the orientation of human rights education in Vietnam’s new era; the United Nations’ perspective on human rights education since the 2011 Declaration; the application of digital technology and the impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution on the protection of human rights; accessing environmental issues and climate change from a human rights perspective; promoting the rights of young people with disabilities in the context of digital transformation; safeguarding children’s privacy rights in the online environment; and integrating human rights and gender equality into law school curricula.
The conference served as an important scientific forum, contributing to clarifying the orientation of human rights education in the new phase, while enhancing research capacity, training, and the practice of integrating human rights into higher education, particularly in the field of law.
