Presenting gifts to the Social Work Center and the Child Protection Fund

The Social Charity Board coordinated with the Department of Health to organize visits and gift-giving to 3 social welfare institutions (including Tinh Duc Pagoda Nursing Home, the Social Work Center - Child Protection Fund, and Dieu Vien Pagoda Nursing Home). The delegation was led by Venerable Nun Thich Nu Bich Chau, Head of the Social Charity Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Hue City.

At the centers, the Venerable members of the Social Charity Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Hue City, together with the leaders of the City’s Department of Health, offered words of care and encouragement, while also presenting gifts to the residents and the center as well.

Earlier, the Social Charity Board, in coordination with the People’s Committee of Hoa Chau Ward, presented gifts to disadvantaged students at Quang Thanh No. 2 Primary School. The delegation donated 20 boxes of Vitadairy milk and 40 scholarships (each including notebooks, school supplies, and 500,000 VND in cash) to 40 underprivileged students, with a total funding of 40 million VND.

Venerable Nun Thich Nu Bich Chau shared: ‘The Vu Lan season is not only about holding ceremonies but also a season of filial piety and compassion - an occasion to do good deeds, meaningful acts, and spread kindness in society. Each gift, though modest in material value, carries the heartfelt sharing of the community with those in difficult circumstances”.
