| An art performance competition on the opening night |
Taking place from August 16 to 21 at the City Cultural - Cinema Center, and several local sports competition venues, the festival had the participation of more than 250 performers and athletes, who are officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers from the entire Sector and a number of other units within the Culture and Information block.
At the opening night, the participating units presented folk song, folk music, folk dance, and fashion performances. Prior to that, the festival also hosted competitions in various sports, including: stick pushing, tug of war, billiards, and pickleball.
According to Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, the festival's activities contribute to improving cultural and sports life. They also serve as a motivation for the city's cultural and sports staff to strive, make efforts, and contribute to the requirements of building and developing the country in the new era.
