| Presenting awards to authors with outstanding works at the exhibition |
The exhibition showcases 46 paintings, sculptures, installations, and multimedia works by various artists, lecturers, and students. The pieces explore the imagery of the Dragon, Unicorn, Tortoise, and Phoenix, with the spirit of inheriting heritage but with creative expression in the language of contemporary art.
In Eastern culture, the Four Sacred Creatures are not merely mythical beings but also carry profound philosophical symbolism, representing peace, harmony, and prosperity. In Hue, the Four Sacred Creatures imagery appears extensively in imperial architecture and is closely linked to traditional crafts such as wood carving, inlaying, enamel art, embroidery, and weaving.
According to the organizers, this exhibition is not only an artistic event but also an academic forum - a meeting space for artists, researchers, and heritage enthusiasts. The connection of arts education with cultural preservation is opening up new paths for conservation and reviving heritage through contemporary creativity.
The exhibition will run until August 30th.
