| In this series, the painting “Untitled” in lacquer by artist Pham Luc is added to the collection of Hue Museum of Fine Arts |
Accordingly, the 8 artworks include: “Untitled” (Pham Luc), “Perfume River and the Imperial Citadel” (Nguyen Van Tuyen), “Even Saints also Get Weary” and “Mother Earth” (Buu Chi), “Adam and Eve” (Pham Thi Tuyet), “Going to the Market” (Do Xuan Phu), “Hue Spring 1968” (Dang Mau Triet), and “Desolate Winter” (Le Ba Cang).
It is known that from 2018 up to now, Hue Museum of Fine Arts has collected dozens of high- quality artworks from the state budget.
The collected artworks must meet criteria such as: possessing outstanding artistic value by renowned visual artists both domestically and internationally; being representative of the distinctive artistic values and styles of Hue-based artists, those who were born, who have lived, studied, or worked in Hue; reflecting traditional and contemporary fine arts imbued with strong cultural identity; and exhibiting exceptional content, ideology, and artistry. The works should also embody deep humanistic values, high artistic merit, topical relevance, creative exploration, and a blend of national character and modernity, etc.
