Deputy Chairman of the City People’s Committee Nguyen Chi Tai offering incense in tribute to heroic martyrs at Truong Son Cemetery 

At Truong Son and Road 9 National Martyrs’ Cemeteries, Deputy Chairman Nguyen Chi Tai, along with leaders of local departments and agencies laid wreaths and offered incense at the Memorial Monument to honor the tremendous merits of heroic martyrs who bravely gave their lives during the 2 national resistance wars for independence, freedom, and peace for the people. After the memorial ceremony, members of the delegation visited individual graves to offer incense, expressing their deep gratitude to the fallen soldiers.

Truong Son National Martyrs’ Cemetery is the resting place of 10,263 heroic martyrs who bravely fought and served on the legendary Trường Sơn frontline for 16 years. Road 9 National Martyrs’ Cemetery is the resting place of 10,087 heroic martyrs who fought and served on Road 9 battlefield, in Quang Tri Province, and in Laos during the resistance war against the United States.

*Earlier the same day, the city leadership delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai visited, offered incense, and laid wreaths in remembrance of the martyrs at Huong Dien Martyrs’ Cemetery (Hue City).

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the delegation reverently laid a fresh wreath and offered incense at the Monument to the Nation’s Gratitude.

Before the spirits of the heroic martyrs, city and local leaders together with the entire Party, people, and armed forces pledged to remain united and strive with all their strength to continue on the revolutionary path laid by the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, and previous generations, who devoted their lives and made great sacrifices for the nation’s independence and freedom. They reaffirmed their determination to build a more prosperous, civilized, and beautiful homeland. Following the memorial ceremony, the delegates respectfully offered incense at the graves of the martyrs, expressing deep gratitude and profound respect for their noble sacrifices.
