Specifically, Nguyen The Quan, a 12th grade student from Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Nghe An Province, won the Gold Medal.
Tran Le Thien Nhan, a 12th grade student from Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted, won a Silver Medal.
Ly Ba Khoi, a 12th grade student from the High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences, University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, also won a Silver Medal.
Truong Duc Dung, another 12th grade student from the same school, won a Silver Medal.
Nguyen Cong Vinh, a 12th grade student from Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted, Bac Ninh Province, also secured a Silver Medal.
Taking place from July 18th to 24th, the 2025 IPhO consisted of two main competition days: one for theory and one for experimental work. Each exam lasted five hours.
With one Gold and four Silver medals, the Vietnamese team ranked among the top 10 countries at IPhO 2025. This achievement continues Vietnam's impressive track record in international and regional Olympiads over the years.
The Vietnam team’s results this year continue to confirm the quality of the general education system and the effectiveness of its strategy for identifying, selecting, and nurturing talented and high-achieving students.
The closing ceremony and official announcement of results for IPhO 2025 took place at 9:00 PM on July 24th.
