In 2021, SBC Hoang Gia Co., Ltd. pioneered the cultivation of Bo Chinh Ginseng in the highland district of A Luoi, later expanding it to other mountainous and hilly areas such as Nam Dong, Phu Loc, Huong Tra, Huong Thuy, and the former Phong Dien district.

With the goal of researching, expanding, developing, and leveraging the medicinal value of Bo Chinh ginseng, the company carried out scientific, technical, and technological tasks to create a health-oriented materials-products-gift set derived from the plant, incorporating scientific and cultural elements based in Hue.

Over nearly three years of implementation, the company has developed key products, including 15 processing procedures for products made from Bo Chinh Ginseng.

According to the evaluation council, SBC Hoang Gia’s research and development of Bo Chinh Ginseng products has made practical contributions to the field of science and technology, particularly in the area of medicinal herbs. The project has helped supplement experimental data and scientific foundations for Bo Chinh Ginseng, a highly valuable native medicinal plant that had yet to be systematically researched and utilized.

The research outcomes have also contributed to the development of a model for production, processing, and commercialization of medicinal products following a closed value chain - from raw material cultivation and procurement, to primary and advanced processing, and to packaging and market distribution.

From a small-scale producer, SBC Hoang Gia has expanded into a production system with factories meeting HACCP and ISO 22000:2018 standards. The company has diversified its product range to 15 fully developed items made from Bo Chinh Ginseng, now widely distributed through agents, e-commerce platforms, supermarkets, and direct sales channels.

Thanks to the research results, the company has steadily improved its production capacity, standardized product quality, expanded its team of technical personnel, and established a professional quality control system.

The research outcomes have not only helped the company increase revenue but also strengthened its brand position in the field of herbal products. Moreover, the project aligns with sustainable development goals, generates positive social impact, and contributes to environmental protection.
