With the theme: “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”, the event attracted over 400 athletes from 20 Yoga clubs in the city, participating in notable activities such as: the traditional lamp lighting ceremony, a mass performance of the Yoga Protocol, and a discussion with Indian Yoga experts on the benefits and correct practice methods.

According to Ms. Mandala Tejaswi, a Yoga expert and representative of the Indian Embassy in Vietnam, due to its benefits, Yoga has been recognized by the United Nations as a sport with a holistic approach to the physical and mental well-being of individuals.

For the 10th International Day of Yoga, the Government of India launched the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Common Health” to emphasize the connection between individual health and the health of our planet. And in a recent letter to Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also proposed cooperation with Vietnam to introduce the diverse benefits of Yoga.

Also, according to Ms. Mandala Tejaswi, the Indian Government currently offers full scholarships for several Yoga courses. This is also important information for those who wish to pursue a professional path and consider Yoga as a career.
