Opening a course in safe swimming

The course is organized for 60 students in the former Phong Dien town. Spanning 16 sessions, it not only focuses on teaching safe swimming techniques but also provides knowledge on water safety, survival skills, and land-based rescue techniques. Through this, the program aims to raise students’ awareness and help them take a more proactive approach to preventing drowning accidents.

Beyond teaching swimming, the program also emphasizes the importance of self-protection against the risk of drowning, which is known as a vital life skill for children living in areas with rivers, lakes, and ponds.

This summer, Hue Help and CTFK organize swimming and water safety training for approximately 810 children in Hue City. The program is carried out in close coordination with the Department of Education and Training.

According to the representative of Hue Help Organization, teaching swimming in water environments such as rivers, seas, and lagoons not only helps children become familiar with natural settings but also trains their reflexes, adaptability, and ability to handle real-life situations. This is an important foundation that helps children gain confidence when interacting with water environments. Hue Help hopes to offer more safe swimming classes, enabling children to access swimming, water safety, and rescue skills.
