Decision to establish Hue Culinary Association being presented

According to representatives of Hue Culinary Association’s Executive board, the association is more than just an organization, it is the embodiment of a desire to preserve, protect, and develop the traditional culinary values of the ancient capital, long considered the cradle of Vietnamese royal cuisine.

With nearly 70 founding members, including culinary artisans, master chefs and professional cooks currently working at hotels and restaurants in Hue City, as well as several other master chefs and culinary artisans working in other provinces, the association hopes to become a bridge between generations of culinary artisans, chefs, culinary researchers, and young people. These young successors are expected to carry forward the legacy and essence of their ancestors’ culinary traditions.

In addition to networking and learning opportunities, Hue Culinary Association also serves to inspire pride and passion for the nation’s food culture. Through hands-on activities such as cooking classes, culinary demonstrations, the study of ancient culinary documents, and exchanges with artisans, the association aims to nurture a new generation that respects its roots and is ready to spread this treasured heritage into the future.
