In attendance at the event were Deputy Director General Le Huy Anh of the Vietnam Intellectual Property Office and representatives of various departments and agencies from Hue City.
The competition featured nine teams representing nine universities from across the country. At the event, contestants demonstrated not only their knowledge of intellectual property law but also applied critical thinking and practical problem-solving skills. They integrated legal concepts with humor through short skits, expressing their viewpoints on protecting creative values and the legitimate rights of intellectual property owners.
This year’s competition was designed with the goal of raising awareness and equipping students with the skills to identify, prevent, and handle intellectual property infringements, especially in the digital environment, where the line between creation and imitation is becoming increasingly blurred.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the leader of the University of Law, Hue University, emphasized that in the digital era, intellectual assets are not only a means to showcase creativity, but also a key factor in determining a nation’s competitiveness and sustainable development.
For intellectual values to be truly respected, promoted, and protected, enforcing intellectual property rights is essential. This responsibility does not lie solely with management agencies or the State, but also requires awareness and concrete actions from every individual, especially the younger generation, university students - who will carry forward the mission of building a knowledge-based economy.
