Vision check-up for those coming for examination on March 10 |
The activity will take place on the 4th floor of the Ophthalmology Center from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm from March 10 to March 14. Doctors will carry out clinical examination for various ophthalmological diseases. Depending on the stage of the disease, patients will be advised on medical treatment (free eye drops), laser treatment, or surgery.
According to ophthalmology experts, glaucoma, also known as high intraocular pressure, causes damage to the optic nerve, leading to blindness. Early clinical examination and check-ups help detect the disease early, prevent its progression, and allow for timely treatment advice.
This year’s World Glaucoma Week has a theme “Unity for a World without Glaucoma”, which calls for raising awareness about intraocular pressure, promoting eye care activities, and preventing blindness.
It is expected that 700 patients will receive free clinical examination this week.
