Attending the meeting and working were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, member of the Standing Committee of the City party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, along with leaders from departments and sectors.
In framework of the meeting, Secretary of the City party Committee Le Truong Luu warmly welcomed Mr. Sandeep Arya to Hue City. At the same time, he also provided an overview of the city’s recent socio-economic development situation. Notably, he was pleasured to announce that as of January 1st, 2025, Hue City has officially become the sixth centrally-governed municipality in Vietnam.
Mr. Le Truong Luu expressed a desire that the Ambassador would continue to introduce Indian investors to research and explore investment opportunities in Hue, especially in many sectors such as processing and manufacturing industries, semiconductors, information technology, culture, tourism, education, and healthcare, etc. The Secretary of the City Party Committee hoped that the two sides would strengthen the exchanges of cultural and artistic delegations to introduce the unique cultural characteristics between the two nations and deepen cooperative ties. Additionally, the Secretary of the City Party Committee requested India to support Hue City in trade promotion, at the same time introducing and connecting Hue City with Indian investors in 2025.

During their discussion, Mr. Sandeep Arya, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Vietnam express his honor and gratitude for the warm reception from Hue City’s leaders during his visit. Hue also congratulated Hue City on its new statue as a centrally-governed municipality.
Mr. Sandeep Arya said that based on the relationship between the two nations, many Indian investors have chosen Vietnam as the investment market to undertake significant projects in recent years. Indian government always places great importance on Vietnam and they always want to maintain the sustainable and increasingly prosperous friendship. On this occasion, he also expressed his intent to explore and promote cooperation across various fields between Indian localities and Hue City. He also pledged to support connecting groups and investors working in the fields of information technology, software technology, and healthcare coming to Hue City for investment. Furthermore, stimulating and connecting to open flight routes from India to Hue City and vice versa to boost the tourism development and promotion for two sides.
Mr. Sandeep Arya would like to invite Hue City’s leaders to visit and work with Indian counterparts. He hoped that in 2025, the relationship between India and Vietnam in general and between Indian localities and Hue City would reach new development, contributing to enhancing the sustainable cooperation between the two countries.
